Building Painting Contract

This contract (“Agreement”) is made and entered into on [date] by and between [Client Name], with a mailing address of [Client Address] (“Client”), and [Painter Name], with a mailing address of [Painter Address] (“Painter”).

Scope of Work Painter agrees to provide the following services to Client:

1. Painting of the exterior/interior of [building name or address]
2. Cleaning and preparation of the surfaces to be painted, including power washing, scraping, sanding, and filling of any cracks or holes.
3. Protection of all areas surrounding the surfaces to be painted, including landscaping, windows, and any other objects that may be affected by the painting process.
4. Application of one coat of primer and two coats of paint using high-quality paint products that are appropriate for the surface being painted.
5. Cleaning and removal of all debris and equipment from the work site upon completion of the painting project.

Pricing and Payment The total cost for the services provided by Painter will be [total amount] and shall be paid by the Client as follows:

1. [Initial payment amount] is due upon the signing of this agreement.
2. [Second payment amount] is due upon the commencement of the painting work.
3. [Final payment amount] is due upon completion of the painting work and approval by the Client.

Cancellation and Termination This Agreement may be terminated by either party upon [number of days] days written notice to the other party. In the event of termination, the Client shall pay for all services rendered and materials used up to the date of termination.

Warranty and Liability Painter warrants that all work performed under this Agreement shall be of good quality, and all materials used shall be new and of good quality. Painter shall repair or replace any defects in workmanship or materials for a period of [warranty period] days after the completion of the painting work. Painter shall not be liable for any damage or defects resulting from the Client’s failure to maintain the painted surfaces in a reasonable manner.

Insurance Painter shall maintain liability insurance coverage during the term of this Agreement in the amount of [insurance amount], and shall provide proof of such coverage upon request by the Client.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the [state/province/country]. Any disputes arising under this Agreement shall be resolved in the courts of the [state/province/country].

Entire Agreement This Agreement contains the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior negotiations, understandings, and agreements between them.
