DESCRIPTION OF THE CONTRACTOR’S OBLIGATIONS
This document outlines the obligations of the contractor (“Contractor”) under the contract (“Contract”) entered into between the Contractor and the other party (“Client”).
- Scope of Work: The Contractor shall perform the work described in the Contract, including but not limited to the following:
- [Describe the specific work the Contractor is responsible for]
- [List any materials, equipment, or personnel necessary to complete the work]
- Timeframe: The Contractor shall complete the work in accordance with the schedule set forth in the Contract. The Contractor shall provide the Client with regular updates on the progress of the work.
- Quality of Work: The Contractor shall perform the work in a professional and workmanlike manner, using materials of good quality and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. The work shall be free from defects and conform to the specifications set forth in the Contract.
- Permits and Approvals: The Contractor shall obtain all necessary permits and approvals required to perform the work under the Contract.
- Compliance with Laws: The Contractor shall comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and codes related to the performance of the work under the Contract, including but not limited to environmental and safety regulations.
- Insurance and Liability: The Contractor shall carry insurance coverage sufficient to protect against any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from the Contractor’s performance of the work under the Contract. The Contractor shall be liable for any damage to the Client’s property or injury to persons or property caused by the Contractor’s negligence or willful misconduct.
- Change Orders: Any changes to the scope of work or the specifications set forth in the Contract must be approved in writing by the Client and the Contractor, and shall be executed as a change order.
- Subcontractors: The Contractor may hire subcontractors to perform work under the Contract, but shall be responsible for the performance of such subcontractors and shall ensure that they comply with the terms of the Contract.
- Termination: The Contract may be terminated by either party upon [Number of days] days’ written notice to the other party.
- Governing Law: The Contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of [State] without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law provisions.
